While studying at UCLA, she was invited to intern for the Los Angeles Times. She also worked at UCLA Hospital, UCI Hospital, Saint John’s Hospital and Long Beach Memorial Hospital while putting herself through school as an undergraduate. As well, Renee has summarized medical reports for medical malpractice attorneys, worker’s compensation disability judges and researched and summarized medical treatises at UCLA’s, UCI’s and Long Beach Memorial’s medical libraries (back in the day when hard copies were more readily available than on-line journals), as well as having interviewed various specialists regarding their perspectives on certain issues.
Renee enjoys spending time with her zany and loving family, with friends, shooting and editing photography, playing with her two rambunctious dogs, listening to music, soaking in the outdoors, watching performing arts when the mood strikes, and loves to laugh.
